Chart and Market Panel

TradingView chart features and the market panel for browsing and favoriting symbols.

TradingView Chart

The left panel embeds a TradingView chart for the selected symbol. Works with MT4, MT5, TradeLocker, cTrader, and DXTrade accounts.

Features

Feature Description
Timeframes M1, M5, M15, H1, H4, D1, W1, MN (default: 15m)
Chart Types Candlestick, OHLC Bars, Line, Area, Heikin Ashi, and more

Drawing Tools Trendlines, channels, Fibonacci, rectangles, annotations
Templates Save and load chart templates
Symbol Search Click the symbol name on the chart to search and switch
Popup View Click the popup button for a larger chart view

Symbol Sync

The chart stays in sync with your symbol selection:

  • Selecting a symbol in the Market Panel updates the chart and Order Panel
  • Currency flags on the chart match the selected symbol
  • A “No Symbol Selected” placeholder is shown when no symbol is active

Market Panel

The Market Panel is a symbol browser in the top-right area showing all available instruments from your broker.

Header Controls

Control Description
Live indicator Green pulsing dot when connected; gray when connecting
Sync button Fetches the latest symbol list from your broker
News button Toggle news view
Search Filter symbols by name (e.g., type “EUR” to see EURUSD, EURGBP, EURJPY)
Category dropdown Filter by instrument category
Favorites filter Toggle to show only favorited symbols

Categories

Symbols are organized into categories:

Symbol Rows

Each symbol row displays:

Column Content
Star Favorite toggle (amber when active, gray when inactive)
Flags Currency flag icons (or commodity badge for XAU, XAG)
Name Symbol name (e.g., EURUSD)
Bid Live bid price
Ask Live ask price
Spread Current spread
Trade Button to select the symbol and expand the Order Panel

Live Prices

Prices update in real-time as they change. Each symbol row flashes briefly:

  • Green flash: Price moved up
  • Red flash: Price moved down

Favorites

Click the star icon on any symbol row to add or remove it from favorites:

  • Favorites are saved per account
  • The favorites filter (star button in the header) shows only favorited symbols
  • Switching accounts loads that account’s favorites

Sync Symbols

Click the sync button to re-fetch your broker’s full instrument list and refresh the Market Panel.

Panel Resizing

Vertical Divider (Chart / Right Panels)

Drag the vertical border to resize:

  • Default: 65% chart, 35% right panels
  • Click without dragging to collapse or restore

Horizontal Divider (Top Section / Positions Panel)

Drag the horizontal border to resize:

  • Default: 70% top, 30% positions
  • Click without dragging to minimize or restore the positions panel

Tips

  • Collapse the right column to maximize chart space for analysis
  • Use the Trade button on symbol rows to quickly select a symbol and expand the Order Panel
  • Sync symbols after adding new instruments to your broker account
  • Favorites are per-account - set up different watchlists for different strategies
